wow, i find it interesting that even in Andrew's style, Juno still looks like a girl... i don't know why Juno looks like a girl, maybe he was suppose to be a girl during the Dev. Phase, and capcom forgot...
I loved this game. I was put off because there was no Dr. Light or Dr. Wily (seriously, why weren't they involved?) but i loved the characters and gameplay that this provided. It was just really fun when we get past our own religious fanboy fanaticism of how we think Mega Man ought to be. I still think Mega Man was at his best on the NES, but the Mega Man 64 did kick all kinds of ass. And who could forget the Bonnes? I did eventually find a copy of Legends 2, but i felt it wasn't as good. I didn't bother finishing it, since you had to wait for a load screen just to travel to a different area instead of just surfing everywhere with your hover shoes. Even though i craved it and searched for years just to find it because of that cliff-hanger ending, i felt utterly let down. But to be fair i didn't really get that far due to the load screens and there not being a single large map to travel on, like in the first one, so i didn't give it the full chance it may have deserved. Plus, again, it was a PS1 game, and i was used to my N64, and loading times were foreign to me, and i just couldn't tolerate them on a console system. Especially PS1 load times, even though i played Legends 2 on my PS2. Which i had bought during the middle of the 360's career (shows how up to date i am in gaming - i had a gamecube before that, though, and just bought a 360 two years ago). Anyhoo, just reminiscing. Perhaps i should pop in Mega Man 64 and start it up again...
I really "dig" this... haha. It looks just like that part in the game, great work! We all agree we want mml3. There are so many of us and it's finally starting too look promising. I've been reading and there's a whole lot pointing to it especially from this year at comic con.
awesome! I have this on my computer... but when Juno uses one of those attacks, my video card say, "screw that" and the game cuts off... they really need to put the legend series on Virtual Consol!!! I wanna beat it again!!!! Legends was definately my favorite in the series...though I've only actually played one of the X games and a couple of the original games...
Ah, Bureaucratic Model 3rd Class: MegaMan Juno. How you scared me to the core when I first faced against you. You shook my conceptions of the world down to the foundations they were based upon and brought to light the idea that Bachs "Little Fugue" in G Minor truly CAN work as an awesome boss battle anthem.
You filled the ending of the game with strong suspense and made me eager to learn more about the universe Legends was set in and made the sequel very worth waiting for.
Some say you were shoehorned into the last few seconds of the game but I say you were possibly one of the greatest characters in the series. You gave us all a glimmer of a much deeper and darker story on the horizon and without you MML just wouldn't have been the same. <3<3<3<3
Actually, Inafune has been trying to bring the series back for quite some time; he made it quite clear during the development of Resident Evil 5 that he wanted to work on such ASAP, yet it seems his superiors don't realize the man's artistic genius.
woooo go megaman i have that game on PS1 lol really old xD but it was great fun playing it i hated loosing againts Juno T_T but in the end i got him XD nice use of colours here and cool to look at really =]
OH. MAH. GOD. You just brought back a HECK load of memories, man. Damn, this was my FAVORITE GAME! But I didn't get the story for scrap. Still don't. I just know that that guy/girl/thing shot rainbows and was hard as all heck. That's what I'VE been saying. We NEED the Legends series back!
I agree, the Legends series needs to get its true finish, as there really isn't any closure to the series yet, what with the main character stuck on another planet; however, perhaps another reason for why there isn't one in the works is because they don't have an idea on how to handle something like that in the plot.
hmm... now between your talent in copying the legends style and your fantastic sense of humor, I'd love to see some Bonne art from you; a guy can hope, em?
Also, I forget the specifics (Am a megaman fan, but not aware of the key designer... Inafune, right?)... Apparently said maker o' megaman wants to keep the legends series rolling (no puns intended ), quite literally his chosen desired item to make a sequel of... but he's being stymied by the higherups in Capcom... tis a shame... less about the delay of legends 3, and more about the lack of respect for folks that are (or were in the past) the lifeblood of the company.
I dunno what it'd take to motivate the stuffed shirts, but keeping the fandom alive through fantastic art can't be hurting, meh?
